A few months ago I booked an Oiran Photoshoot at Studio Kokoro in Kyoto and the whole experience was amazing!

The site was relatively easy to navigate in English to choose your day, time, and which look you want. While booking I mentioned that I was trans and they said that was not an issue.

When I arrived to the studio it was very cute and I filled out some info and was lead to a changing area to put on a simple dressing gown. They indicated that since no other customers were around it was permitted to use the group changing area or the private one whichever I preferred.

Then came like 60 minutes of hair and makeup followed bu 30 minutes of photos. The staff were so lovely and my being trans never came up or seemed like an issue! They coached me through poses and props and the results are stunning! On my way out they even gave me a birthday card which was so cute.

Overall just an amazing experience and well worth it! That they are openly supportive of trans customers too is just so awesome
