White speck removal options?

I have a 2016 Camry that I had and the shop a while ago to do a little bit of repair on the upper part of the driver side door. When I got the car back it was winter time so it wasn't until a few months later when I was washing the car that I noticed a clear line where they had taped off half of the roof while they were repairing the door and I could clearly see over spray on the passenger side of the roof. I haven't really had time to address it until now, I recently picked up a 6-in DA buffer which I figured would be more than enough with some good rubbing compounds to remove the overspray. As I started working on it using the Maguire's pro speed compound pictured, the majority of the overspray itself has come off, but I'm finding myself left with these hard white specks that the compound doesn't seem to be touching. I also have a different Turtle Wax rubbing compound that I tried as well and no luck there either. I can scrape them off with my fingernail fairly easily but I would be here for a year trying to get them all that way. LOL I've tried bug and tar remover and that didn't touch them either. I'm assuming it has to be something left over from the repair process but I'm not sure what else to try to get them off without damaging the clear coat. Just looking for any ideas or suggestions.

Is it just me or does the auto dimming rear view just flat out suck? I am forever being blinded unless someone is pretty much right on my bumper. '25 XSE
