I don’t enjoy running anymore but don’t want to loose my fitness level
Hello everyone
I am here for some advice or feedback from people who may have went through similar thing.
I’d say for the last couple of month I really stopped enjoying running and as a result I am dreading hitting the gym more and more.
The thing is I have made so
Much progress this year from not being able to run at all to running 11km
Without stopping and I don’t want to loose my cardio cause I know that whenever I stay more than two weeks off the gym when I run again it’s hard.
For context I am comfortable running 5k that’s actually what I do most of the time I used to do 3 times 5ks in the week and then on the 4th day I would run a bit longer anywhere between 6 to 11km.
I can’t skip the gym any longer cause I’m gaining weight so I need to go back to a consistent gym schedule but I also know I can’t run anymore I’m not enjoying it so I was wondering is there another cardio exercise I could do that would keep my fitness level so that whenever I am ready I’ll be able to do my 5ks with no trouble ?
I really don’t want to have to start from the bottom again when I couldn’t even run 10mn without stopping so any advice is welcome.
