First time player

I’ve played about 4 rounds with friends from work and we’re all just using starter decks. I’ve played the tutorial on the app so I know the basics but I’ve lost all 4 so was curious if there’s any pro tips I’m not catching on to. We’re going to a local shop Saturday and would like a decent chance to win a couple. Still having a great time though!
