I have added PG32UCDM3 + XG Mobile 5090 over the weekend but instead of having fun, I was having a typical Windows headache. Updated Armoury Crate to the latest INCLUDING Nvidia 32.0.15.7324 as shown in another thread. Searched through countless of posts on Reddit, disabled Fast Startup, changed Sleep to Hibernate, put the device to sleep set to never etc.

Issue: The setup above connected via DP 2.1 worked only first time - every time I removed the Nvidia drivers and reinstalled from AC, it worked one time only for few mins. In fact Windows Explorer hangs and you cannot even restart from taskbar. You have to force turn off. The moment display went black e.g. due to power saving feature, XAX hibernate or whatever it never came back. I saw the blue spinning wheel on the screen. "Blank screen", "spinning wheel", "first time" all those keywords are there and were reproduced in the same or similar scenario by other users over the past.

Today I thought I will check Asus official drivers. There is a discrepancy in Nvidia graphic drivers. The one in AC is V32.0.15.7324 (newer) but the one on Asus page is: V32.0.15.7297 (older). When I installed the older V32.0.15.7297 - everything works!

If anyone is a in a similar boat and found a solution please share. This can be a nightmare for new XG Mobile owners, as clearly the latest Nvidia drivers are broken.

EDIT: The same issue is confirmed now also with HDMI 2.1 bundled in PG32UCDM3.

RESOLVED by Downloading Nvidia app (Thanks u/unsupported_function) and installing the latest drivers, skipping the Armoury Crate. In fact in AC it correctly shows I have a newer Nvidia Driver installed, so it doesn't offer me the "buggy" V32.0.15.7324 anymore...

Is there any way to lock the screen similar to when the activity is running? That sounds simple but I can’t find a way to do it on my Q8Pro. Usually with Apple Watch before, I was setting alarm and before going to bed I was locking the screen, so I don’t accidentally turn it down without being fully awake.

I tried to disable touch screen before going to bed, but either this feature is broken or it’s intended to work this way - it re-enables itself automatically after some time it seems (maybe with the alarm clock).

Just got my 1st Garmin Quatix 8 Pro. Subscribed to inReach Premium. Went for a hike in the mountains. My iPhone had no LTE reception, neither did Q8Pro, which offered me the use of satellite to send a message. After pointing few times, it did find a satellite every single time, full 3 bars of satellite reception and the device was "sending" a message, just to get the end result: failed. Tried multiple times. Wasted one hour. Perfectly clear skies. Full bars satellite reception. Yet I could have died.

Seriously, Garmin? Or is mine Q8Pro being faulty? So "back on the ground" I left my iPhone and Q8Pro offered me to find LTE connectivity. I thought great, why not? The problem is it has been blinking forever and never logged into LTE, where my iPhone was receiving 5G signal. Fail 2.

I did not expect perfect technology on my wrist but I think it's a bit too much?

Btw running latest FW 21.41.

Since getting Quatix 8 Pro (my 1st Garmin after Apple Watch), I can't get Apple CarPlay to work with my iPhone, either wired or wireless. It seems Garmin establishes 2 Bluetooth connections with iPhone: one that lets you disconnect from BT settings and forget the device; 2nd which stays permanent (listening to iOS communications), which is something that cannot be manually deleted from iOS Bluetooth settings.

So I have removed 1st BT connection, forgotten the device, unlinked Q8Pro also from Garmin Web but I was still unable to make CarPlay working back.

Did someone face a similar issue and found a solution how to bring back CarPlay working with Garmin smartwatch paired to the iPhone?
