In Konflikt '47, are elite units worth it, or is it better to spam cheap units for more activations?

Heyho,

we're just getting started with Konflikt '47 at our club, and at 1,500 points most players are running around 8–11 activations. With three platoons, though, it's pretty easy to build a list with 20 activations while still including a few elite units. That lets you wait out your opponent and simply have more order dice in the bag, but is that actually a good strategy?

For example, the difference between an Japan Anti-Tank Rifle Team (18/25/33 points) and a Battle Frame Anti-Tank Team (110 points) seems huge. Sure, the Panzerschreck has better range and higher penetration, but in the worst case I can field three Anti-Tank Rifle Teams for the cost of a single Battle Frame team. Is the Battle Frame really worth that premium, or do most experienced players prefer to maximize activations instead?
