intl struggling to get clinical hours

Hi! as it says above, I can't pursue paid clinical work. I'm a rising soph and I've been volunteering at a hospital since I was in highschool, and I do have patient interaction, but I'm worried it's not enough. Projected to have ~300+ hours by next year.

I could also expand this and volunteer at an underserved clinic, but the same concern applies.

Thoughts? TIA

sad and confused

im 18F. I developed SD when i was maybe 15 or 16 and i became so frustrated in the beginning. I didn't change anything about my routine or diet.. Just went through something incredibly stressful, had to be medicated, and then it appeared and has haunted me since. Sometimes I can't sleep because it feels itchy or painful (behind my neck) and I'm too insecure to tie my hair up. I've gone to the derm once and used a topical cream they prescribed and some ketoconazole shampoo that didn't work and now I worry I'll start losing hair. sighhhh

tuition waiver renewal (?)

If you received a tuition waiver, i'm assuming there's no need to renew it right? Should I talk to finaid or should I expect it to be applied within the next week or so?

odd experience shadowing

I was shadowing today and sat on a bench inside a conf room next to a guy i didn't recognize and i saw him pull out his phone and it was angled at my legs with the back cam light on (i was wearing a dress). saw all this with my peripheral vision and didnt say anything. I find it kinda strange but also not sure if its worth telling anyone because it could be an accident or im looking too deep into it. what should i do?

TD - is this allowed?

Hey! I'm a dependent and there's an opportunity for me to do a volunteer based internship (so unpaid) at a free clinic. However I do wonder if this conflicts with the rules of TD as there are opportunities to do clinical volunteering (taking vitals, entering patient data, etc)

Any input is appreciated :))

Help me grasp canada admissions

Hi all!

Im a canadian citizen doing my undergrad in the US. I've considered eventually applying to schools back home, but I can't seem to grasp just how competitive admissions is... I have an eye on Temerty @ uofT especially... What should I be mindful of? I've been thinking mainly of the nitty gritties of US admissions.

Biochem online vs in person

Hi all! In a bit of a pickle...

I can elect to take biochemistry the summer before i plan to take my MCAT (around march/april 2028) but this class is online and accelerated. My uni only offers full term IN PERSON biochem every spring, which means taking the MCAT before even finishing the course.

Which of these options is the lesser evil LMAOAOAo

What do I do if I anticipate a delay in submitting forms (TB test results, vaccine attestations). Will I be rescinded if they are submitted past the deadline?
