Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro Disappoinments

I got myself the Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro as a wallet/EDC in Ultradyne material which supposedly has larger opening compared to other materials.

Things I like: The material itself feels nice and Premium.
The main compartment is split into two so I can put coins in one side and cash in the other. I love that the front zipper is perfect for the 4 cards I carry. I assume you can carry up to maybe 6-7 cards max in that zipper.
I think my favourite part is the Alpaka‘s Hub system. It is so satisfying and i really recommend for people who haven’t tried it yet.

Things l don’t like: I wanted to carry my flashlight and pen with this pouch but it doesn’t really work. Once I put my flashlight and Pen, the opening becomes so small (even with just pen) that it’s not that comfortable for me to pull out my cash or coins. The PU coated zipper are not very easy to open but the water-resistant from it is nice to have.

I cannot imagine anyone stuffing everything in the outside pockets and still comfortably operate the inner main/front pouches. I don’t recommend this for people who want to carry knives, flashlights, pens EDC with lots of cards, cash and coins. However, this pouch is perfect if you want a really waterproof wallet that you can easily detach from your bag while safely secured with the Alpaka Hub.

Why is my Nib producing very soft ink until i write it upside down?

Is my Lamy normal or do I have to switch the nib? I feel like my Ink are not bright as it should be. Sometimes, it doesn’t write smooth also. This is my first fountain pen so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong 😂 I’ve posted this on r/fountainpen and they said the pen is normal but I feel like my nib needs to be changed?

Do you actually Journal during the trip or after the trip?

Personally, I journal at the end of the day during the travel with all the random things I have collected throughout the day and write small highlight paragraphs. Maybe even print out a photo with the Instax printer but recently I just found out that people actually journal AFTER the trip. This seems like a wild concept for me because it is like a "homework" after your travels! Also, your memories are no longer fresh for the travel journals. So, my only question would be why do you (if you journal after your trips) do it after the trip and not during the trip? Also, feel free to share your journalling system for your traveler journals. Thank you!

Why Travellers‘ notebook brand?

I’m new to this market but my only question is why TN brand? What makes them so special? Because to me, brands like Milligram and Paper republic looks so much nicer mainly because they do not have the string‘s knots that are directly on the back of the notebook. I assume it might feel quite uncomfortable to write unless I’m wrong? Are people buying TN just because of the brand or it‘s really better than others in different aspects that I’m not seeing that’s worth to sacrifice for it‘s design‘s flaw?

Does Peakdesign use DHL to deliver in Germany?

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to buy Wash Pouch and Tech Pouch (Small) for my upcoming trip and I want to deliver the items to the DHL pack station because I live on the university campus and sometimes, the packages get lost here. Does anyone here who lives in Germany know if they use DHL or other carrier company?

Thank you very much!

Aer‘s XPAC/Ultra in Singapore Weather.

Hello everyone! I’m new to reddit and I’m down in the rabbit hole of bags on youtube. I am interested in Aer‘s Xpac and Ultra cpp2 but I’m worried that the lamination might come out because of the the hot and humid weather in Singapore. I’ve never owned any of these bags/materials before. Perhaps, it’ll be better to just go with the normal ballistics material? However, i heard Xpac and Ultra is more water resistant and Singapore rains a lot..if anyone have experiences with these bags in Singapore or hot/humid weathers please let me know and I would like to know how Xpac/ultra perform in the longggg term.

Thank you very much!
