did anyone else accidentally mis-age the characters in chronicles? i first read and fell in love with the books in high school, and for some reason I pictured the company as 30s+ . I guess 20s seem OLD to teenage readers lol.

re-reading now in my 30s and I now read the characters as their true ages. it’s like a whole new story now.

Has anyone experienced any other changes between first and second/third/etc rereads?

it’s been a bit since I last read the books, but I remember loving Dalamar’s snarky banter with….well, everyone. particularly Tanis (second generation) and palin (war of souls). I’m sure there were sone great moments with Tas as well but none are coming to mind…. (looks like it’s time for a reread!)

anyone else have favorite character interactions?

i don’t see these games mentioned as much, but I greatly enjoyed them. what are your less-mentioned favs?

- 7 scarlet (switch version): summertime ghost story vibe done right

- black butterfly: a beautiful picture of processing grief and survivor’s guilt. rainy soundfx hit just right

- genso menage: currently playing first time

-kitty love (? or something): really short but has adorable cgs. and cats!

-london detective mysteria: cozy sherlock holmes story. cliffhanger ending was unforgivable, but the art is charming

- lake of voices (free VN on steam with some romance): quick 2-4 hour horror game. quality so good the price is criminal

i’ve only finished volume 14, but with regards to Easties’ behavior….

what if he has the gift/curse of seeing the future, or glimpses of the future? might explain his extreme fear and desperate behavior. way back when he was first introduce looking out the window, his dialogue made me think he knew that something bad was on the verge of happening.

just curious if most people play otome all the way to completion in one swoop (with breaks for work and life) or if they do a few routes, switch games/hobbies, and then come back.

basically, do you only play one otome game at a time to completion, or do you juggle?

I’ve done both, but doing it piecemeal resulted in the routes feeling more enjoyable and it made the story stick with me longer. but I also have adhd, so unless I’m hyperfocusing on a story, I get burned out after a route or two because my brain wants to move on. I also enjoy other hobbies, so I juggle my time between them.

I will say i have to piecemeal when replaying my favorite otome because knowing the story makes it harder to play more than one route consecutively.

ok so it was announced last fall and released in japan in December.

was it popular?

if so, im betting on a fall announcement/winter release for english this year.
