"I have a wheel with a Carbon-Ti hub that I borrowed from a friend, who says he put over 30,000 km on it. After a while, it started making a strange noise. I took it to the mechanic, and he found that the bearings were completely destroyed (which I expected). He replaced them, but after about 500 km, it started making the same noise again.
I went back to the mechanic, and the bearings looked like they were 'burned out'. He fixed them, but a day later the bike was making noise again. He took everything apart, didn't find anything wrong, reset the preload, and everything seemed fine.
Now, just under a month later, the wheel is making the exact same noise again, along with a strong feeling of friction. The video is from the first time right after the bearings were changed; now the noise is identical, just a bit less pronounced.
What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?
