My 26F friend 25F stayed out with my boyfriend sister 40M after I left.
My friend 25F and I 26F went to watch a rugby match. After the match, we went to my boyfriend’s sister’s house because my friend wanted to smoke shisha. My boyfriend 30M, his sister 40F, and several of her friends were there.
I stayed there for about three hours. At around 11:30p.m., I decided to leave because I didn’t want to get home too late. My friend encouraged me to stay longer because she still wanted to smoke shisha, but I told her I wasn’t able to stay any later.
I ordered an Uber and went home. My friend decided to stay behind with my boyfriend, his sister, and the rest of the group.
The next morning, I saw that she had messaged me at around 3:00 a.m. saying she had only just arrived home. I later found out that after leaving my boyfriend’s sister’s house, they all went to another location together before she eventually went home.
I felt uncomfortable knowing that my friend stayed out with them until the early hours of the morning after I had left. I’m not sure whether my feelings are reasonable or if I’m overreacting.
Am I overreacting? Should I tell my friend that her decision made me uncomfortable?
