Poison Ivy (1985)

This made-for-TV movie, starting Michael J. Fox, aired on NBC just months before Back to the Future came out. It was a romantic comedy set at a summer camp. 9 year-old me recorded it on VHS and watched it all the time.

The Fugitive Doctor and the First Doctor coincidentally stole the same TARDIS

In my headcanon, the Fugitive Doctor is the last Doctor before the First Doctor. She escapes Gallifrey using a stolen TARDIS and works for Division. After becoming dissolutioned with Division, she leaves and lands on Earth in 1960's England. The TARDIS takes the form of a police box. The TARDIS likes this shape and breaks its Chameleon Circuit so it stays a police box forever. The Fugitive Doctor eventually hides the TARIS and uses the Chameleon Arch to hide on Earth as a human.

The Fugitive Doctor is found and captured by Division. They take her back to Gallifrey and erase her memories. After that, they force her to regenerate into a child. She becomes the First Doctor. He grows up on Gallifrey believing he is just a normal Gallifreyan. He is raised by a Time Lord who acts like a father to him. After a while, this “father” grows close to him and thinks the Doctor should be told the truth. The Time Lords bring the father back to the Citadel and tell the Doctor that his father is dead. The Doctor is sent to an orphanage and later goes to the Time Lord Academy.

Eventually, the Doctor discovers that his father is still alive. Around this time, he also discovers he has human DNA. That was an unintended consequence of the forced regeneration after the Chameleon Arch was used. He wrongly thinks his mother might be human.

The Time Lords warn him not to look into his past. They tell him that if he does, the man he thinks of as his father will be murdered. Afraid, the Doctor stops asking questions. Later, he steals a TARDIS from a museum to escape Gallifrey.

Bfore he leaves, Susan contacts him and says she is his granddaughter. The Doctor and Susan steal a TARDIS and travel together. By chance, it is the same TARDIS that the Fugitive Doctor had used. They also arrive in 1960s England. The TARDIS again turns into a police box and once again breaks its Chameleon Circuit so it stays that way.
