Hi, I am getting started with the COMP214 course, and I have a question about the activity point system.

The course information says that I need to earn 22 points per assignment. However, I noticed that each activity is assigned a range of points (for example, 2–4 points). I'm not sure how this works. Do I choose whether the activity is worth 2 or 4 points, or is the number of points determined based on the quality or completeness of my work?

If I am asked to find 2 unit vectors that are orthogonal to a single vector v (5,-2). Here is what I did:

1- find 2 vectors orthogonal to v, both of them are basically the same because if I multiply the first vector I found by some scalar, I get the second vector.

2- Then I normalized each vector that I got in 1. Here comes the problem, when I normalize the vectors, I get the same answer for both vectors because the two vector are essentially the same as explained in 1). The questions mentions that I need to find two unit vectors and I end up with only one.

I am a self-funded student and for one of my course, I already purchased 2 extensions (due to some personal things). It says on the uni's website that I can purchase up to 3 extensions. I want to know whether this will impact my gpa or something? In other words, is there something I need to know about the course extension? I feel like I am the only one who is buying a third course extension lol.
