Easy Wickening: Sally Oldfield, “Blue Water”
This one starts ethereal and ends up downright funky. Listening to it is what I imagine doing Quaaludes with Merlin at Stonehenge would be like. (Yes, she’s Mike Oldfield’s sister.)

Was walking down the street when I heard the opening notes of “Sweet Freedom” playing out of a stopped car’s open windows. It was one of the Hollywood Steve/webseries bumpers from Smooth Sailing Radio! Nice work, Wingnoit!
I used a broker recommended on here who put me in touch with a carrier whose FMCSA page shows $1 million in BIPD insurance and $0 on file for cargo or bond.
Is the car cargo? Does this mean that if they damage my car, it isn’t covered? Should I run? Will my Comprehensive cover it?
But even David Bache couldn’t escape British men’s hair fads of the 1970s.
Looking to ship a running, gas-powered subcompact SUV from CT (off 95) to SF. Has to be picked up before 7/30, and can be delivered any time after 8/1.
I’ll DM details — I tried posting with a burner account but it keeps getting flagged on this sub.
I know it’s not the right spelling, but…
I live in the U.S. and now must listen to livestreams of BBC shows ever since the overseas Sounds shutdown. For the past few weeks, even TuneIn and other streams of Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra have suddenly been interrupted by an announcer saying, “Due to rights issues, this portion of the programme is unavailable.” Many entire programs are interrupted by this, including classic dramas and comedies and even live news reports.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this another rights clampdown?
Saw this posted on Instagram, and boy are a lot of these songs from the yacht era that might even be written by yachty guys (Goodrum, Bugatti and Musker) that people confuse for yacht but aren’t. Is it possible they’ve been Pizza Hut Hits this whole time?
On a recent Yappin’ Yacht, Hunter mentioned finding and ordering a potential bonanza album that hasn’t yet been Yachtskied. Interestingly, he said that he first heard a song from the album while shopping, and that it’s impossible to find a good digital copy so he had to purchase the album.
Any bets on what it could possibly be? What song would be played in a shop but unavailable online?
As if losing access to Radio 4’s archive through BBC Sounds wasn’t bad enough, One Foot In The Grave is now totally gone from US streaming services, Dad’s Army only has a handful of episodes, Friday Night Dinner only has two seasons, and Ever Decreasing Circles and The Brittas Empire are now nowhere to be found.
Is there anywhere else I could find these? Or any other similar (dark but warm) shows you’d recommend?
It has a Doobie Bounce and it features Tom Canning. Thoughts?
I can’t believe this album has gone un-Yachtskied! I imagine it’s what Hall & Oates would’ve sounded like if they had gone full yacht.
Other songs on the album include a call to violent revolution and a sexy-sounding warning about nuclear fallout. The album title is certainly of its time, but Jeff Porcaro kills it on the drums.
I think this is the yachtiest track on the album, but I’d love to see other people post their favorites.
