Hey all,

Will stopping 300mg of lithium XR cold Turkey have any impact on me if I've only been taking it 6 days?

My psych said to discontinue it now for a couple different reasons, but I'm worried that I will have withdrawals or something even though logically that doesn't make too much sense.

I'm on lamotrigine too, so I'm not super worried about mood changes (and I can handle them), but rather I'm worried about physical issues.

Let me know if you have any experience. Especially if you had a short period on the drug. Thanks!

I recently got prescribed 300mg of Lithium XR per day on top of my 200mg of lamotrigine XR. I'm probably going to increase the lithium after a week or two at this dosage. I take Pregabalin as needed for anxiety usually in the 300-400mg range twice a week-ish on average (if I had to approximate). I don't tend to have anxiolytic effects until 250/300mg and I have a slight tolerance so sometimes I'll take 400mg instead of 300mg if I've taken it within 2-3 days.

My question is: what is everyone's experience taking pregabalin and lithium? Did you notice any changes at all? Did it alter any effects or potentiate? I've seen mixed things online and my psych said everyone is different (obviously dude haha). I'm just trying to gather a little more info.

I'll try it out sooner at a lower dosage like 100-200mg to see how I respond. I'm hoping it will still be effective, but if not, I'll have to try something else.
