Hisense 65U8Q/65U8G, HDR content and subtitless.

Hi, I have a Hisense 65U8Q (known as the Hisense 65U8G in the US). The TV itself is great - it’s the best one I’ve ever had - but honestly, I’m struggling with HDR and subtitles. When I watch HDR content on Netflix, the white subtitles literally burn my eyes. The backlight (not brightness) is set to 100, of course, but even when I set “Peak Brightness” to LOW in the settings, it’s still not ideal. Of course, I can turn off HDR content for Netflix, but I feel like I’m missing out on something (and because this option is buried somewhere in the app settings, I’m actually not even able to compare how much SDR content differs with certain TV settings versus HDR content with the same TV settings).

How do you handle this? Generally, this is solved by adjusting subtitle transparency, setting them to yellow, and so on, but unfortunately, the Netflix app doesn’t allow this on this TV (it only offers yellow subtitles on a black background).

I have two monitors: a 32-inch one with QHD resolution and an older 27-inch one with FHD. To be honest, I'm getting tired of windows from the larger monitor not fitting on the smaller one because of the resolution. Getting a second 32" QHD monitor isn't an option—there's no room—so the only way to solve this is to buy a 27" QHD monitor. But won't the text be too small for everyday use? Sure, I could adjust the scaling in Windows, but that just brings me back to the original problem, doesn't it?
