Janeway knew what kind of man he was after that incident at Quarks

I have noticed an unusual uptick in the frequency I am seeing this word. It's wild. Anyone else noticing this?

Setting:

Bastet is renowned for its decadence. It is a city ruled by selfish Genasi aristocrats, policed by corrupt guardsmen, and governed by an underworld triumvirate of smuggling, vice, and crime. This chaos is punctuated by bloodthirsty arenas, gambling halls, and a local population addicted to drugs. Woven deeply into this tapestry of sin are sacred traditions, ancient pilgrimages, violent cults, and the enduring religious fervor that first gave birth to this desert gem. Many are born here, trapped in poverty and scraping by through desperate means. Others arrive driven by rumors of lost treasures or the desire to find personal glory at the city's famed arenas.

Expectations:

• This is a 1:1 table, Player and GM. PC and World. Discord. 5th Edition (2014/2024), Custom City Setting, Timezone ~America
• Multi-district city campaign with additional points of interest outside of it. A cartoonish aesthetic (many anthropomorphic species) juxtaposed with darker subjects, think adult swim in campaign setting form. Planescape/Spelljammer lite elements may be present depending on where the game goes. Some steampunk elements similar to Waterworld. City best described as Maj'Dul meets Rio de Janeiro (for you eq2 players out there)
• Narrative/Dialog heavy, combat light game. Expect multi paragraph descriptions of events, places, and outcomes throughout. You are not expected to reciprocate the literary efforts but matching vibes with your own PC exposition is preferred.
• Can make multiple posts a day. Many come here looking for a game because of time and scheduling constraints. I am looking for someone who has the time and enthusiasm to participate regularly instead. Play will be fundamentally asynchronous, but intent is spontaneous synchronous play too.
• Slow play, sandbox, breadcrumbs. I like to build context and tie the world together around the story. I do not know everything about the world , nor how the character will relate to it, so I am here to discover it with you through interest and incidence.
• Aiming for slice-of-life to bigger-than-life trajectory for a PC over the course of about 11 levels (3-14)
• Patient enough to let things breath and to get through the slow points and snags of a game like this, things will not be perfect, can communicate and work through any problems or misalignment
