Why do adaptations just ignore Shiera Saunders-Hall when adapting the Hawks. Art by David Finch

I've been reading the original Hawkman stories from Flash comics and I'm surprised as to how apart from DC Superhero Girls we haven't gotten an adaptation of her. Which is weird because she was extremely important in those stories and was saving him since Flash Comics issue 2

Did you like Messner-Loebs' Hawkman run

I've finished my Hawkworld reread and wanted to know your thoughts on his rendition on Katar. I think the identity crisis plot was a cool concept but the execution was slow. And I wonder what he was planning for Hath-Set/Helene Astor
