“Do You Really Need 70%+ 3-Second Retention?”
Good afternoon everyone. My profile is still very new, only about a month and a half old, and I create content about biology curiosities and animals in general.
What I’m trying to understand better are the insights graphs, retention, skip rate, and hate rate, because it feels extremely difficult to make a video perform well. For a video to really get pushed, I seem to need an extremely low skip/hate rate, which is very hard to achieve.
I’m going to leave some screenshots here showing the metrics from my best-performing videos and also from the videos that flopped, because even the flopped ones still manage to get around 70% retention in the first 3 seconds.
If the requirement is basically having to consistently achieve over 70% retention in the first 3 seconds, then honestly I might give up.
