DACA: Venezuela
Good morning.
I was wondering if any Venezuelan applicants got their DACA application approved recently?
The government just filed for a stay in the Dorcas case.
reddit.comBanned Countries UPDATE
Hi Everyone, I wanted to provide an update that I think helps out people in this particular situation. If you have DACA and applied from a banned or high risk country listed on the Presidential Proclamation, UCSIS was pausing processing for all applications from applicants with nationality from these countries.
For a while, many were unsure if DACA was affected or not. However, DACA was very much included. This was confirmed to me after an inquiry from my senator's office. I've obviously edited out sensitive info for privacy. Please see below:
However, as of 6/12, after a judge's order, this ban has been ordered VACATED by a recent ruling. USCIS has posted about it on it's website as well.

Hopefully this means that these applications can be approved now moving forward. I have currently been waiting over 220 days. DACA expired in March.
Hope this helps.
November Approvals
Anyone from November?
Also Anyone from Banned Countries? For some reason my post gets down if i ask for banned countries
Calling USCIS Agents Regarding HOLD Lifting
Based on your discussion with agent if you are from 39 countries on hold, has the agent told you your case on HOLD? Usually RFE triggers HOLD too. So in case your question was very clear as to what HOLD you are asking which is 39 countries hold, what was the answer you got from the USCIS agent?
It's now Thursday. Has anyone born in a hold country been issued any benefits or is it all just silent updates and agents saying it's vacated?
There isn't even one report of anyone being issued anything. If it's vacated and they're treating it as vacated, someone somewhere should have gotten issued something?
I asked my lawyer to file an intent to sue given the vacature and that I've been waiting way past normal processing times. He told me to give it a little bit of time. I don't know how much time is reasonable.
They were able to apply the hold almost immediately but they need weeks / months to un-hold? Doesn't pass the smell test.
Hacking r2, but main immigration attorney isn't from hacking.

Are you from one of the 39 banned countries?
Hello to everyone on this gorgeous Wednesday morning. I hope we had a great Memorial Day!
I just recently peeped the 39 countries ban list and I’m from one of them, from Venezuela. I’m trying to stay positive like I said I would, but it’s harrowing to have the knowledge that I will effectively be undocumented indefinitely for the first time in 13 years. If you want to vent, or simply discuss possibilities, please feel free to leave a comment here. I think it’d help me feel better to see people in the same boat as me.
I am struggling to understand where the true solidarity in this community lies because lately it has felt very every man/woman for himself here. I am Nigerian, immigrated here at the age of 1 yrs old with my parents, and I’m now 28 yrs old. I am facing the same struggles as a DACA recipient as the rest but this pause has brought an added level of uncertainty to the road that lies ahead for me. I worked very hard to reach a career that supplies me with an income of plus 6 figures and and just as I am beginning to reap the fruits of my labor, everything that I have ever worked for is stripped from me in an instant.
I do not see nearly enough outrage on this country ban as I think is warranted. If Mexico was included I guarantee that this whole country would be turned upside down in protests and grassroot movements/actions. When will the large majority start to speak up on this injustice. Yes we are facing delays but at least there is certainty that eventually your case will be looked at and properly adjudicated. I understand life is not fair, but please understand that this group of DACA is not monoethnic by any means.
