My new metal playlist - made to be listened to exactly in order

This is less of a request and more or a sharing post, but I wouldn't mind your thoughts on how to improve my playlist!

It's made of exactly 50 metal songs I like, trimmed down from my earlier 150+ songs playlist which included some songs I barely like anymore. This new guy is made all around songs I currently enjoy, and I tried to make it so the listen through makes sense, as if it's one very long metal album, reaching across industrial, progressive, groove, death, thrash, metalcore, and a lot of nu metal. Every transition, to me at least, makes sense, and I both started and ended the playlist on very theatrical songs (The Stage to start, and The Art of Dying to finish).

This playlist is comprised mainly of my 4 most favorite bands- (this is not necessarily in order of how much I like them)

  1. Slipknot - 10 songs

  2. Avenged Sevenfold - 9 songs

  3. Gojira - 8 songs

  4. Korn - 5 songs

But it also includes many more- Linkin Park, Rammstein, and a few songs of various bands that I don't like persay but I do like these particular tracks of theirs.

From here I wouldn't mind lengthening or trimming the playlist, but I also like the size as it is at 50 songs and just under 4 hours. But do you have any suggestions? I welcome all thoughts!

My newly created metal playlist - made to be listened to in exact order.

So, I've had trouble with my original metal playlist, as I go through life collecting songs I like it became a 150+ long playlist (that I've since completely deleted), that when played on shuffle gave me songs I genuinely dislike now, but absolutely loved a year ago. So, trimming it down, and creating an atmospheric playlist to be listened to in exact order- was, well, in order.

This playlist of exactly 50 songs has, in my opinion, great transitions between subgenre and subgenre. It mainly has my 4 pillars of metal bands I like- Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Korn, and Gojira. But also includes many new metalcore songs I've grown fond of, like Motionless in White's song "Playing God", or Architects' song "Seeing Red". And some oldschool favorites of mine, like Slayer's "Raining Blood".

Thoughts? Give it a listen, it's great for driving/running/training. Anything you'd change? Add? Detract? Switch? Suggestions welcome!
