Looking for a small discussion group!

I’m just starting The Artist's Way and would love to find one or two people as accountability buddies. I want to do a quick check-in at the end of each week to share our thoughts and keep each other motivated.

I’m starting right away and planning to wrap up Week 1 by Sunday, August 23rd. My timezone is GMT+3, but as long as we can stay in touch once a week, any timezone works really. If you’re just starting out too send me a DM. (I am 24 year old woman but any gender or age can DM)

Asexual fiction doesn't feel the same to me as other romantic fiction, I don't know why.

I recently read a story where the characters were asexual and ended up having a relationship that is similar to a QPR. I heavily related to the feelings they were describing. In terms of not desiring sex and finding it hard to find people who understand that and want the same thing as you. But I couldn't get over the feeling that it was missing something (something being sex, I guess).

Now I have been describing myself as asexual for years and genuinely can't imagine myself ever doing the act of sex. It feels wrong to me, and I have no trauma around it to feel this way. It's just a part of me. But with all that, I read a lot of romantic fiction, and I really enjoy erotic scenes between fictional characters. It was weird finally having some representation of what I felt and not being able to accept that. The relationship felt empty for some reason. Not because there were no sex scenes, because I usually don't mind that. Just that it was discussed to never happen ever, it bothered me. Even though that's what I want. I hate that I felt that way. Is this like compulsive heterosexuality but for allosexuality? I am 24, and I thought I was secure in my identity, but I am questioning being asexual now. I have absolutely no experience with anything sexual or romantic even though I am 24. I was just wondering if other people feel similar things.
