The Advertising - I think Sims 4 is ok...

Before reading, I'm basing this off of only what I was able to read from the articles posted about it. After looking over the two articles I found about it from the official EA team, I do not understand why people are thinking we'll have to WATCH videos to play the game or even have main menu advertising. From what I've read, it seems to be heavily EA Sports focused, and the only time they mentioned the Sims 4 was in relation to in-game integration.

In-Game Integration > > Custom vanity kits, ultimate team packs, branded challenges & live events across EA SPORTS and clothing & furniture drops in Sims.

In-Game Media

> Sponsored replays, branded overlays, or video spots inside the broadcast layer. Your brand shows up the way a real media partner would, in moments players rewatch, clip, and share. One of the most attentive audiences in media, watching like it's always been there.

IRL & Experiential

> Fandom doesn't stay digital. Co-branded drops, live events, real world activations—this is where passion becomes something you can hold, wear, and show up to. Your brand meets players off-screen, in the moments that matter most to them.

Based off what they posted here, this will mainly be similar to the already-existing Coach X The Sims collab they've done, with it even being mentioned in the article.

Now I'm not all daisies and rainbows about this, of course, but if what is said there is true, we'd only be getting free content that looks nice... hopefully

I heavily doubt they will have actual in-game advertising, like with videos you HAVE to watch to do gameplay, which would be frankly ridiculous LOL.

Side-note: Yes I hate EA, but there is no way they are this dumb. (why does that sound like I'll get disprove in the future... god I hope there's not in-game main menu advertising bro)

Also, the SimsCommunity article about it mentions that it will most likely be same as the old ways the games advertised! > The Sims Franchise was never fully shy away from using real life products into its universe. From IKEA Stuff Pack in The Sims 2 to collaborations with Pet companies like AIMS for The Sims 3 Store, the game always had some form of real life brand advertising. The only difference that this could all make is that we could see a lot more collaborations a lot faster.

Mainly posting this to give people hope because people are already overreacting to something we don't have much info on, so I'm just relaying on what I WAS able to read from the article. here is the second article.
