If you had ₹10,000 - ₹1 lakh and a small room/workshop, what product would you manufacture in India?

I'm trying to explore a small manufacturing business in India and would really value opinions from people who have actually manufactured or sold physical products.

My constraints are:

Starting capital: ₹10,000 - ₹1 lakh

Initially working alone

Small room / small workshop, no large factory

Prefer B2B over consumer products

Prefer products with repeat demand

Product should be possible to manufacture/assemble with relatively simple machinery

I want something that can start very small and eventually scale into a proper manufacturing business

I'm not looking for generic suggestions like "start a clothing brand / candles / soap" unless there is a genuinely strong reason.

I'm particularly interested in boring, specialised products that established businesses regularly need but that may have -

supply/availability problems

long lead times

high import dependence

expensive minimum order quantities

poor local/customised options

or a fragmented supplier market.

If you had the same constraints, what ONE product would you seriously consider manufacturing?

And more importantly, why?

If you've actually done something similar, I'd love to know:

What product?

How much did you initially invest?

What machinery did you need?

Who buys it?

What's the approximate gross margin?

How did you get your first customers?

Is the demand repeatable?

What did you underestimate when starting?

Would you choose the same product/business again today?

I'm not looking for motivational advice. I'd genuinely prefer someone to tell me "don't do this, here's why" if an idea sounds attractive but is actually a terrible business.

India-specific suggestions would be especially useful.

Thank You!

3 years of experience, but one difficult TL interaction has made me scared to even ask questions. Am I overthinking this?

I have 3 years of experience in IT. I joined my current service-based company 10 months ago, and I recently started working on a new client project.

I am new to this project, and they are following their own infrastructure and deployment process. The project is also very old, with around 30-year-old code that hasn’t been migrated to newer technologies.

One day, my Team Lead asked me to do a deployment. I did it, but an issue occurred during the deployment. The issue was in a file where we had not made any changes.

I informed my Team Lead about the issue and told him that we had not modified that file and that the issue was occurring there. He asked me to connect on a call.

After connecting, he asked me about the issue and said something like, You don’t understand this issue? You don’t know this?

I explained that the issue was occurring in a file that we had not modified and that I was just informing him about it so that we could investigate it.

Then he asked me a question about that file. I couldn’t answer it properly because it was a sudden question, and my mind just froze. I couldn’t think properly at that moment.

He said, I need an exact answer. Take 30 seconds and talk about it. I don’t want your guessed answers. I won’t give you marks for guessed answers, and that won’t be considered.

I understand that he wanted an exact answer and that guessing is not good. But because it was a sudden question, I couldn’t answer properly. I ended up guessing something because I wasn’t able to think clearly at that moment.

After that, he also asked whether I had actually done development work before and questioned how I communicate.

At the end of the call, there was another girl on the call. He asked her to drop off, and after she left, he told me, Don’t take this personally, but you need to accept reality.

That really affected me.

The next day, I did another deployment. Even though I am new to the project, I somehow managed to understand their new deployment process and their own infrastructure and completed the deployment.

Later, I called him and he asked me to explain how I had done the deployment. While I was explaining, he asked me to copy the heading of a file. I copied the heading, and then he said, Not the heading, copy the file name.

After that, he made sarcastic comments like, Are you hungry? and Is someone calling you?

I have 3 years of experience, and I am genuinely trying to understand the project. I know that I have things to learn because I am new to this project, especially because they have a very old codebase and their own infrastructure and deployment process.

But after all these incidents, I am now feeling bad and scared to text him or talk to him whenever I have any issue or problem.

I am constantly thinking about that person. Whenever I have to connect with him, I start thinking about what he will ask me and what comments he might make.

Instead of focusing on solving the technical issue, I am getting stressed about how I should answer him and whether I will be able to answer his questions properly.

Now I am thinking about switching companies. I haven’t even completed one year in my current company, it has been only 10 months and I have started working on this client project only recently.

I also don’t feel like I have much scope to learn new technologies in this project.

I’m confused about what I should do in this situation.

Has anyone faced a similar situation? What would you suggest I do? Should I try to adapt to this situation and continue, or should I start looking for another project/company?
