I’m not a professional dev, but I turned this silly atc game prototype into a proper arcade game.

I love atc games, i own tower simulator 3 airport madness and endless atc, and about a year ago had this really specific idea in mind, a game that combined a topdown ground view with radar gameplay. At the time I had basically zero game dev background I was in my first semester of college studying mechanical engineering, i knew almost nothing of coding before college, and I’m not an artist either.

I only coding i knew was a little from class, but I decided to try making it anyway as a personal project in Pygame just for fun. The first version was incredibly inefficient, slow, and kind of held together with duct tape and bad coding practices, but the core idea was there and it was fun to play at least at times

After a while I stopped working on it completely for several months. Then one day I came back to it and realized I still genuinely loved the concept, so I decided to rebuild it properly and turn it into a real game instead of just a prototype

The proyect is now something i'm satified with and even if i move on to another project after launch for sure this first one will be something i'll keep updating it in the future. After the last UI and request tab update at least for me the game has become something very fun i can spend long sessions playing. It’s been really cool seeing something that started as a fun personal thing slowly turn into an actual project some people have actually had some interest in.

I improved the U.I for my game and now it looks nicer and on ground no longer blocks the view as it used to

Hi everyone, I’m a solo developer building, an air traffic control simulation/strategy game as my first project.

i launched my playtest with low numbers sitting at 60 wishlist after a moth of putting up the page after a week of relasing the playtest received 150 playtest requests, only 10 people actually installed the build (though those who play average 15 minute sessions with is the average time i play and i have fun).

Before pushing further, I want to ensure the core game is actually fun and engaging. I would love feedback on the page and game:

i made an atc game that at least for me is very fun i'm almost ready for launch but i feel i need more feedback what do you think of it? keep in mind its not meant to be realistic like vatsim or tower simulator 3 it is more on the grounds of mini airways or airport madness

it's like a mix of endless atc + airport madness with the additions of those little plane side view photos that i think are a cool feature for a 2d atc game, real airlines are not included offically but you can add them as custom content from steam workshop
