First day gluten free, feeling hopeful!

I just did my first day gluten free!

I just finished my pre-blood test gluten challenge, which was rough. Still waiting for the results.

I still had symptoms cause it takes a while for the body to recover but I was really happy that I didn't feel like puking after eating today.

I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, and chicken fingers (from M&M meats), tater tots, and veggies for supper. Also two gluten free oreos at some point in the day. Double stuffed. They are good.

The M&M Meats chicken fingers were a pleasant surprise. I did them in the air fryer and they had a nice taste and texture. And they have the Celiac Canada badge so that is great for if my sensitivity is from celiac.

I just wanted to share since I don't have a lot of people in my life to share this with.

I know some days it's going to hit hard that I can't eat my favourite foods anymore but for the first day in, this was a good start.

How did you guys feel about your first day of going gluten free?

Did your symptoms get worse during the gluten challenge and if so are you non celiac gluten sensitive or celiac?

Hey all!

I am currently doing a gluten challenge before getting a blood test to see if I have celiac disease. I was not gluten free before this trial but I was kind of avoiding it. A month prior I did the fodmap elimination diet to find out what was triggering my symptoms. So like fodmap for a couple months, then a month of regular(ish)diet, and now all the gluten. My doctor decided we would do the gluten challenge for 4 or 5 weeks just to make sure if there is any chance of antibodies, they have a chance to show up in the blood work.

My symptoms are just getting worse and worse as the challenge goes. I only have 4 days left so I am sticking with it.

But I am curious who has had a similar experience and if you ended up having celiac or non Celiac sensitivity?

Thanks all! Have a good day :)
