Finally "connected" my first LCD screen

I have a problem.

I don't know how to solder the ic2 chip do the LCD screen and I don't have a potentiometer so it's kind of f***** up but I think it's good enough for now

Samsung Monitor detected in Bluetooth & Devices, but missing from Sound Playback HDMI Audio Issue (i think)

Hey everyone, I’m running into a weird issue with my HP laptop and a Samsung monitor. the audio sometimes works perfectly, and other times it doesn't work at all or just disappears from the system entirely.

My monitor is connected via HDMI and Windows definitely "sees" it. When I go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices, the monitor shows up as "Generic Monitor (SAMSUNG)" with a green status dot

However, when I try to set it as my main audio output, it’s completely missing from the list.

What I’ve checked so far:

  • Sound Settings: It doesn't appear in the Windows 11 sound output list.
  • Control Panel: I opened Sound Control Panel (mmsys.cpl). Even with "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" checked, the Samsung monitor isn't there.
  • The List: I can see my Realtek speakers and some headphones, but no HDMI/Display Audio for the monitor.

Current Setup:

  • OS: Windows 11
  • Connection: Direct HDMI cable
  • Hardware: Samsung Monitor (appears as "Generic Monitor")
