Now I know the difference between cobweb and mycelium lol. One is crazy fluffy (cobweb), other is controlled spikes that look soft (mycelium). (Cobweb not shown here.)

3 days on the s2b. Cvg mix

16 days on the jar. 2.5 hrs in instapot, broke boi popcorn tek.

Next I will try brown rice g2g as I've started an experiment jar with a few leftover myc covered popcorn kernels and it's growing fast asf. Been 5 days and it's already 30% for a stalled jar.

Popcorn to brown rice. Has anyone done that?

I don't have high hopes for this one as this is the grain jar I sacrificed for a smell test.

Thought I might as well test this leftover soil as a test run for when my other jars finish colonizing.

If you look closely, you can see something already growing. Doesn’t look like cobweb this time around. Will keep updated, but this will most likely go bad.

Opened this jar as a sacrifice (sorry and thank you buddy) to see if everything was going good.

Unlike last time where my jars failed, these all have grown mycelium this time. No more sweet smells, and no more cobweb.

They aren't finished yet, might give them a few more days. But hurray!!! Hardest step done, right?

Now what to do with this one...

Second one is Winter Teacher. Can't wait to see how it'll turn out. It's growing wayyyy slower than the Pink Buffalo (first one).

24 hrs after s2b now. Now I'm thinking it could be pin mold instead of cobweb? Idk man. Something doesn't look right.

Should I continue to wait? Or call it here? Getting mixed signals lol 😭

This showed up 11 hours after s2b my substrate. I had posted a previous picture of my grain and a person called out cobweb mold then.

Now I'm here lol. Should I toss? These are Winter Teacher genetics. Not meant to be grown this way, I'm just now finding out. Ha...

The myc from my last post continued growing!! I was afraid to leave it for longer, so I took the brick inside the jar and tapped the loose popcorn off. It smelled like a sweet, earthy mushroom. No contam (yet).

Any tips? I'm super excited! And my other jar is growing slowly, but very surely.

Plus, I made more jars with the TPGT guide :)

I had less popcorn turnout than planned, so I used the smallest thing I could find lol

Nocced up 6 days ago with LC. It's my first time. One of my other jars went bad.

And yes, I know it's way too full and way too wet 😭

Just want to know if it at least looks like it'll fully colonize. Thank you!
