So, going full adjustable gas, and thinking about running a lightweight carrier and a JP SCS. Been a winning combo for me on my AR-15s so far.
Was wondering if anyone had a preference for either a JP LMOS or V Seven's Ti BCG? I'd probably use the JP High Pressure bolt in both, but I'm just wondering if the titanium carrier is worth the premium over the LMOS.
So, I'm slowly speccing out a relatively lightweight build for hunting and hiking, and I'm curious about nabbing a 16" Ranger profile barrel from them as an option that is a little meatier than a Faxon Gunner, but still lighter than a Criterion Hybrid.
Anybody have recent experience with their barrels?
Updated my Mod Hwat to an Aimpoint 9000L on some Warne QD rings over the Immersive 5x I've had on it. Wanted something a little lighter, and frankly, most of my shooting is at a 50 yard range so I thought it'd be good to give an older style Aimpoint a go to try and keep a little bit of style.
Also got the OCL Reflex HUB in and mounted on my Nomad. Probably gonna take it to the range tomorrow to make sure the gas is as tuned as it can be for the time being.
Just calling it the Mod H-wat now as it's a Mod H with about everything wrong as you can figure. It's literally just the TOOB, Recce rail, and the provisions for a AE/OPS mount can that I took from the Mod H, everything else is my flavor of idiocy.
Since last post, I've added the long bottom rail, the stubby grip and barricade stop from Out of Sight Solutions, a Scalarworks fixed front, and a KAC Micro rear.
EDIT: Still trying to decide between just grabbing a OCL Reflex HUB or spending the money on a Mk12 Mod FOR, but I got a few months to decide as I'm set to get a work bonus this year.
