How much should you trust a hirer when they tell you about how the role can evolve?

I got a job offer and denied it because it was basically doing the same thing I am now (communications) which I hate, and I want to go and build other skills for a few months to get on my desired career path. In my denial email, I said I had an offer elsewhere that let me spread my wings a bit into something I’m more interested in (a lie).

The director of this organisation (also running the hiring process as they are a small arts charity) then replied saying that they wanted to ring me after I turned the offer down to see if I had the true scope of their role understood.

We called, they basically said that yes the role was comms focused but that the charity is growing and that the role will be involved with the upcoming projects and will evolve (they are hiring three new roles due to expansion, mine would be one of them).

Basically, how much do you trust people when they say this? She was a very nice person who seems genuine but I know that she also just wants me to take the job.

Can I setup a conversions API between Meta and Eventbrite?

I'm trying to track direct ticket sales from Meta ads. I already have the Meta pixel installed for the wesbite and the eventbrite website, but wondered if it is possible to get better data by also having an api to track direct sales (at the moment, I'm just getting site visits).

How can this be done?
