Does anyone know how to repair this wear and tear?

Both of my pairs of chucks are tearing at the soles like this. Anyone repaired it? I'm thinking of gluing some thin leather to cover both canvas and rubber but even after taking out the shoelaces its kinda difficult to get there.

Japanese model categories?

Can someone explain what the models of Japanese converse are? I'm going in September and planning to stock up but the variety is a bit staggering. I've also read somewhere that the US Originator is the chuck70 analogue? Like a premium softer sturdier line. Is that so? Or is it Addict?

I'm planning to PnP me some Root and I'm kinda dumbfounded but the amount of item tokens the game is supposed to have. Looking at the Law of Root, the base game, Riverfolk and Homeland all have item tokens. But it doesn't specify how many of those are Vagabond Starter items and I wonder if it really matters anyway, you could place the same items both on the map track and in vagabond's faction board.
Also, are the items provided with the Knaves supposed to replace the Vagabond items or add to them to make a proper hoard?
