Venting mostly, but shocked at how this flight has gone. I’ve never posted a gripe here but this is probably the worst service I’ve ever gotten from AS as a 5+ year Gold/75K.

Almost 4 hours delayed with terrible communication from Alaska, WiFi happily let me burn my Atmos Summit pass but is almost unusable (second flight in a row that’s happened), no PDB, drink service in F arrived almost an hour into flight well after premium had been served, meal was actually disgusting (are those little fish bits?!?), and the FA is holed up behind the curtain in the galley. 2 hours in now and she hasn’t even checked on us.

They were selling upgrades to F for $1300 a seat. Can you imagine paying that for this?

AS may have 787s now but they’re absoutely not ready to call themselves a big boy airline, unless they’re striving to come in right below AA-service levels. DL is looking better and better.

Edit: it’s not getting much better. I’m absolutely stealing the fucking blanket.

Blanket update: She came around with a big trash bag to collect blankets and made sure she got them all, but never came around to collect trash or used glassware until descent. Had wrappers and empty glasses all around the entire flight. Really bad.
