Looking for a modular helmet

I am looking for a modular helmet. I go into a store for a few min and need to use my phone to look up stuff/pay and don't like to have to take off my helmet. So an easy removal one is also welcome.
I WAS looking for a cheap one, but found out that the DOT rating is not the only one (so I'm pretty new to this).
Am looking for something budget friendly though. So currently considering
used sedici sistema 2 or HJC i90 (possibly the newer ones 3/i91)
anyone have a safer/more durable alternative in that price point?

TLDR: looking for used modular helmet with best safety rating and durability for under $100.

UPDATE:
some people sell very good condition helmets for a fraction of the price. I don't need one urgently, just seeing which ones I should keep a lookout for.
I understand that helmets are important, but

  1. If a helmet is tested and has the same result, I don't see why spending more money makes sense. Unfortunately, there isn't a good database of extensive testing results that I can lookup, (that I know of | SHARP is missing a lot of the ones that even have ECE rating. It also doesn't state how well the materials/paddings hold up over the years), thus the post
  2. I very rarely ride, and when I do, it's a short trip to the store on main roads, so not a one lane road with blind corners/driveways. I ride maybe a single 8mi ride in 2 weeks, so not really wanting to spend $500-$1000 on something that will just sit around and just degrade.

Mesh replacement

I found a herman miller aeron, just the top with bad mesh. I don't want to spend $100 replacing the mesh pieces as assemblies. Is there guide and fabric that I can just replace the mesh itself?
