Did a 15DO recurrent, now pt has symptoms of crack

Pt has recurrent caries so told her we should replace it
Filling it was unproblematic
She does have an Anterior open bite and a shift when she bites
Calls clinic two days later complaining of pain on biting
Checked bite, bite was normal and not high but reduced it down
Tooth sleuth has reproducible pain on distal lingual ridge on biting (not on release)

I told her she might have a crack, but clinical findings can’t confirm yet as it might be very small. She might need a crown and she said okay. I told her let’s monitor it before jumping to crown. I told her filling probably just exposed the crack. Now, get the call that she’s switching clinics. Sad but what do dentists on the forum think could be it?

In hindsight, would you have reduced the entire ridge that had the crack and placed a filling there incase the crack was minor?

Father going thru divorce and isn’t coping well

My father is currently going through his second divorce and is in denial. He’s now living alone, wanting reconciliation with his first wife (my mother), lonely, retired, disabled, and in disbelief that he may have some bad habits that has brought him to his second divorce.

It doesn’t help that in both divorces, he lost the house (soon to be with second)

As a daughter, I look at my father with pity but not really sure how to help him. I can see he’s in denial and not really sure how to help himself.

To the divorced dads on this forum, especially the senior ones, what did you do to help yourself? I’m looking for advice. Thank you.

New position has empty schedule

I just started at a new clinic and safe to say… it’s been slow. The principal dentists are very busy and operating out of three chairs. But me, and three other associates are being put on hygiene to fill schedule or large chunks of days without bookings. Is this normal?

When I accepted the offer, I was supposed to absorb 400 patients from a leaving dentist

I’ve signed a one year contract.

Did anyone get their builder to issue a new APS?

For those who signed very close to April 1st, some builders were saying they might issue a new APS so buyers can get the tax rebate.

I’m wondering if any builder actually did this?
