I'm thinking about doing access to higher education veterinary science diploma.
Has anyone done an access to he course with learning direct?
How was it?
Did you get the grades you wanted?
Are they reliable?
Were you able to get into university?

I've been looking at courses on the Open University website. They have a biomedical science. Out of all the subjects they have, this is a course I would love to do.
Biomedical sciences at the Open University is not accredited by IBMS, but if I completed it and got a 2:1 or 1st grade, could it help me get into a veterinary med (foundation 6 years or the 5 year course) for uni?
Some unis accept a degree of 2:1 or higher in a relevant subject. For example, UCLan Uni accepts degrees, it doesn't specify if the degree must be accredited by IBMS.
Can I use this Open University degree to help me get into veterinary medicine, even if not accredited?

Any vet nurses or veterinarians out there been in a smiliar situation?
Veterinary medicine and becoming a surgeon is what I wanted to get into initially now im having second thoughts.
Seeing the competivness and the grade boundaries im struggling to see my future even getting into a vet med uni. It feels like it'd take so long, even if I get to the interview stage, compared to everyone else out there.
Then vet nursing is easier to get into the course and cheaper, especially if I do the apprenticeship diploma route.
I have:
5 gcses at grades: 45556
In September I'll be starting a level 3 science course to help get into a uni.
I have animal work experience just not clinical yet, but im working towards getting it.
Im worried I won't have a chance with my education and background for vet med.
