Anyone taken higher level stats or bio?

Hi everyone,

My major is so fucked lol. Two of the complementary courses for my stream conflict, and the other two aren't offered.... so it's basically a free-for-all where I can choose my own courses. Most of the 500 lvl stats courses aren't offered either!

Does anyone have any thoughts on the following:

MATH 437 Mathematical Methods in Biology

MATH 558 Design of Experiments

MATH 559 Bayesian Theory and Methods

MATH 523 Generalized linear models

BIOL 540 Ecology of Species Invasions

BIOL 551 Principles of Cellular Control

BIOL 416 Genetics of Mammalian Development

Also looking for 400-500 lvl bio or math courses with no final!

If I ask politely, will my dentist remove a bit of calculus that has been bothering me before a wisdom tooth extraction?

Title. I floss every night but my front bottom teeth are a bit crooked and I have a bit of calculus hugging the sides of one tooth, visible from the front. I just got them cleaned in February, and everything else feels/looks alright so far.

Is this a strange request to ask? Would you be likely to say yes? Its only one tooth so I imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to go in with a metal pick?

Recs to round out a long trip!

Hey all,

My mom has been here for a week, she’s leaving on May 19th but I am having a tooth extraction on the 13th so will be out of commission for most of the time.

I’m planning on taking her out on the 18th before she leaves for a nice dinner, and I feel bad because I kind of dropped the ball on this trip.

Didn’t have enough time to bring her to places. Tried to get a reso at Mon Lapin but unfortunately could not; I am planning on trying to walk in on the 18th but a bit unsure since we’re getting a bit bored of French/french Canadian food.

Here is what we’ve done:
Shop and cook with produce from Jean Talon
L’Express
Larrys for brunch
Fairmount, Saint Viateur
Cafe du Monde (QC)
Pub L’Oncle (QC)
La Buche (QC)
L’Echaude (QC)
Le Clan (QC)
Damas (Mother’s Day brunch, tomorrow)
Vin Papillon (reservation secured for 12th)

Where I took her last year:
Lucille’s Avenue Des Canadiens
Tiradito
Barbara
Foeigwa
Knuckles
Weinstein and Gavinos

I’m thinking of trying to get a reso at Beba, Mastard or Cadet! Any thoughts?

I am very aware that a lot of Montreal’s good food is French Canadian, but the menus are starting to get a bit repetitive and flavors are not standing out as much anymore. Would be open to more twists/interesting spots vs classics (my mom’s favorite expression is “that’s interesting!”).

Ideas for things to do that are low impact + no eating?

My mom is visiting to help me with recovery from tooth extraction but I’ve also been showing her around town. We went to Quebec City and came back today, and my surgery is on Wednesday. She will be leaving on the following Tuesday. Very aware that I should be resting, but some low impact activities would probably be possible later on in the week!

Already did these:
- Aura experience at Basilica
- Planetarium + Biodome + Botanical Gardens
- Jean Talon Market
- Fine Arts Museum

Feel like we’ve already walked around old port during previous visits and it probably won’t be as interesting just coming from old Quebec.

At a loss here, any suggestions?
