This is one of my favourite 1985 Autobots.

Absolutely stunning looking robot mode in my opinion, so much chrome and great looking stickers, nice and tall too - from memory the same height as G1 Optimus Prime...

Absolute cracker of a Firetruck mode, love the hose and all the other little added details.

And last but definitely not least - one awesome head sculpt!

Only got this figure later in life, pretty sure its a reissue as its all super shiny... but a highlight of the 1985 car Autobots for me

One of my favourite Super Gobot figures.

Fantastic looking VW Beetle mode, cant tell it changes into something else by looking at it...

I love the robot modes where the roof of the vehicle becomes the robots head - gives them a nice alien/sci-fi look i think...

I'm stoked to have a version that has the stickers and the lovely chrome weapon too.

Such a hefty figure, so much diecast!

Awesome looking helicopter mode, the robot is great too, even if the fists are a bit enlarged...

Awesome chrome head sculpt too.

I reckon this guy looks awesome!

Most of these Super Gobots definitely looked a bit more alien or oddball than your g1 Transformers.... and i like it!

The turret on his face, the spindly tracks for legs, and if having a tank cannon on your face wasn't enough - he has an arm cannon attachment too!

The Tank mode is stunning, you cannot tell it changes into something else at all, nice and hefty figure thanks to the die-cast as well...

I do love my G1 Transformers BUT most of thses Super Gobots are such fantastic looking figures - well worth chasing down

By far my favourite Triple Changer and also one that I had as a child, pretty sure I got the gold box release in Australia early 90's...

Great looking robot mode, quite a unique look...

Fantastic Buggy mode, love the head spinning around to become the Chrome engine...

Pretty decent Helicopter mode, definitely one of the best G1 helicopters in my opinion.

Highly recommend getting this figure in your collection 👌

Like previous post I never came across these figures as a kid in Australia in the 1980's.... curious if they were even released there...

This is a pretty decent looking combiner figure, the Hawk is a little kooky looking but fun enough, the launcher vehicle is fine for what it is, I do really like the look of the combined robot mode and the great (for 1986!) Shoulder/arm articulation.

The chrome on the robots head is quite worn on my figure unfortunately... Will keep an eye out for a replacement at some point

I never saw these on the shelf growing up in rural Australia in the 1980's, I believe they came out in 1986...

Interesting transformation, always a fan of any combining robot toys....

And out of the 3 this one has the most realistic vehicle modes.

Just been cherry picking a handful of favourites the last 6 months....

Wished I still had my childhood collection!! Still haven't quite forgiven Dad for giving them away...

All 3 are such stunning figures, if you ever get a chance to add any of these to your collections I highly recommend it!

My modest collection....

I had a large collection of figures as a kid, born in 1980 I was right in the thick of it, saw the 87 movie at the cinema, then dear old Dad decided once I was a teenager to give all my He Man figures and Transformers to the neighbour's kids....

Still ropeable about that to this day!!

And the New Eternia Skelcon figure is amazing, incredible detail on it...

Sy-Klone was my absolute favourite as a kid, followed by Mantenna. Had to pick them up again 😀

The last time I had a G1 Optimus Prime (or similar mold) figure was as a kid in the early 1990's when he was re-released in Australia in the Gold box packaging!

I never got to experience these 3 as a kid in the 80's, and they're great fun figures!

So much shiny chrome on show, and the colour scheme works so well, such a great Decepticon subgroup.

I never realized quite how small they are, they would be a great match on the collection shelf next to G1 Reflector.

I am a big fan of the early G1 figures whose weapons fit over their arms as opposed to slotting into fists.

The Omnibots and Skids were others with this style of weaponry from memory....

My only slight disappointment is Shrapnel arrived with a front wheel broken and the handle of his weapon near snapped off, will chase up a replacement soon....

Overall, really happy I've added them to my collection!

Prettied this bad boy up with some nice shiny Toyhax labels today.

Possibly blasphemy to some, some of his original labels were a bit scratched for my liking...

Its a nice slow day at the office!

I still don't quite believe i have this G1 Grail in my possession!

Yes, he is as impressive in real life as he looks online...

Awesome figure in all 3 (4?) Modes in my opinion.

Such a huge presence when displayed in any mode...

First up Robot mode - just Awesome! Great Decepticon colour schemes, and I love the abdomen guns that pop out with the Powermaster feature.

I do like the head being able to turn as well, especially on such a large figure.

The base mode looks fantastic too, its quite long but each of the 3 sections look good to me, some fun interactions for the Powermaster figures.

Vehicle modes are both large and really well done, look very dominating on display, the Space cruiser is a beast - huge and evil looking, the Tank is big too, my only minor gripe would be the Powermaster figures lay down in the cabins instead of sitting upright.... certainly not a deal breaker!

All up I am absolutely stoked to have acquired such an impressive figure and to me a real Grail G1 figure.

8 year old me would've gone nuts if this guy appeared under the Christmas Tree in 1988 Haha
