📸 TakaraTomy Transformers Missing Link C-03 Bumble [Bumblebee]
I’m currently doing a restoration project for some old Transformers toys, starting with Jetfire/Skyfire here. He is in ok condition with minor yellowing and paint chipping. Does anyone know any de-yellowing techniques that could work? (He’s missing his gun so I used Windblade’s)
Just a few pages from the 1987 GiG catalogue, with the usual suspects - the Italian exclusive colour figures
This guy is the centerpiece of my collection and by far my personal favorite transformer toy. I feel like he's the most American of any transformer so today was the best day to share with you guys! He is huge, red white and blue, and covered in guns, feels like it hits all the USA boxes to me. (What do you guys think is the most American transformer?)
I got this Micromaster Devastator KO around 2011ish at Kohl’s, and came packed with some random T-Shirt. The quality is atrocious and barely even holds together; some of these guys have missing holes in their faces due to a poorly copied tooling. Currently not sure where I put the legs, so they’re not pictured here. Curious if anyone else owns one of these or knows anything else about it!
And, they are just as awesome as I hoped that they would be! In particular, Sureshot sure is a really cool figure. His color scheme really pops, and I like how his weapon looks.
For Hardhead, he always was my favorite of the Headmasters. It is a bit amusing how he is like a perfect rectangle in robot mode, but, with his three different weapons, he sure looks like, well, a tank of a fighter!
Bootleg lookalikes borrowing elements from various Transformers, most obviously Blaster and Megatron's head and swords. Interestingly, the one on the right was itself KO'd in Argentina, with Commando Toys acquiring the license from Antex to release it as an official licensed, branded Transformer. Whether Antex had the legal right to do that without oversight from Hasbro is anyone's guess.
One thing we don't talk about with the eHobby era is how generic the packaging was. Missing Link does not have that problem.
One of my favourites
A bit tatty these days, but still a legendary figure.
Still unpacking my collection to display and I thought I’d share some interesting Minibot variants I have. The left is the standard blue G2 Seaspray along with the purple G2 Seaspray variant. On the right is the standard Warpath along with the “Bearded Warpath” variant. Enjoy!
so when i was a kid i wwas on a transformers website, its now gone and the wayback machine is no use. but i saw a alt mode for devastator, the G1 devastator. i cant remember it anymore. if you could help me find it or post a picture in the comments that help me alot!
More details on the TFNation social media pages, custom work by Shins of the Wreckers for Toy-Fu, who raise money for Mary's Meals. Not BST, merely showing off a brilliant custom, so don't ask questions below as I can't help you.
IDK, man. I like the whole ideas of Powermaster and Godmaster. The original G1 toy was cool with those gimmicks and stuff. I don't expect the same for the modern figure since it's all about cartoon/toy-accurate and I like that. AOTP Joyride is none of those... I feel like I only care about cartoon/toy-accuracy...
Yeah, I sound so much like a hater right now. AOTP Joyride hasn't come out yet, maybe I should give him a chance. Maybe an upgrade kit would help?
I'm also kinda worried about how the new Overlord is gonna turn out if he (they?) got a new mold.
