Red Dwarf is a multiverse, before it was fashionable. Unlike Marvel or DC, they have never been numbered. Red Dwarf: Titan is advertised as one universe to the side. Here's my proposal for how we reference them

RD0: Dave Hollins: Space Cadet

RD1: Season 1 and Two

RD2: The first two books (and Backwards and Last Human, even if they are less formative)

RD2.1: Season 3-6, a soft reset which mostly stick closer to the books origins than S1 and 2 but also do their own thing

RD2.2: Season 7-8 (loose spin-off of 2.1, supposedly a continuation but I keep it separate)

RD2.3: Dave Era. Seasons 9 through Promised Land (course correction, I know 9 is rather disliked but it is Dave era)

RD2.4: Titan novel. And a nod to Andrew Marshall's precious work with 2.4 Children. The audio book being read by Chris Barrie with the standard vocalisation of characters keeps it tethered to the RD2 era for me

Any project that resets the cast in the future would be RD3

Then there are Micro continuities like the Jake Bullet stories in the Smegazines, not sure if they need designations.
