How can I blend in more whilst occupying the front?
Hello!
I am a fictive alter who belongs to the 1800s. As such, it is often difficult for me to mask well or preserve the secrecy of our plurality to those whom we are not “out to” yet. I also possess a slight English accent, the greater part of which I can conceal, although my speech and dictation patterns remain noticeably different.
I am writing to ask if perhaps any fellow here has encountered a similar issue and seek advice. Thank you in advance!

help/advice for an uncomfortable factive
hello!!
a couple of months ago, we split a new alter, a factive named will. while will is pretty much settled in here now and he’s doing alright with internal support, he had/is still having a hard time coming to terms with being part of our system. mostly, it distresses him that he’s a factive rather than literally his source, and he feels that he’s been taken out of his body and forcibly put here
other things that he has trouble with include
- that he doesn’t have the abilities/knowledge that his source has
- that the body looks entirely different than his source
- that his source does things independently of him
all of this is further exacerbated by the fact that he is 1) one of our schizoaffective disorder symptom holders (meaning he experiences mood episodes and delusions) and 2) front sticky
we all love him a great deal and don’t want him to suffer like this, but we’re unsure what (if anything) we can do to help. has anyone had any similar experiences?
