United Lander Times In recent Events President Joseph Calvillo has used his vetoing power for the first time as the Senate passed a poll deemed unconstitutional. The vote was proposed last Friday halting Senate applications altogether. However Calvillo vetoed this poll (with constitutional authority) because it restricts the amount of people who can participate in United Land Government. As the Senate is not at its full capacity it needs to welcome new members. The president does not have the power to veto a Senate ruling if he dislikes it but he does if it is deemed unconstitutional which he used the clause in the United Land constitution stating that all people should have representation in government to back his claims. If Calvillo misuses his power he could be impeached but most people have positive opinions on him so the chance of a impeachment is highly unlikely.

The Republic of United Land heavily invests into its agricultural industry and because of such our pomegranates are one of the main symbols of our nation due to the perseverance and resilience the genes within the plant possess while they are a common species in our nation. They are an important symbol to us for numerous reasons. But as we near the beginning of September which is the heart of pomegranate harvest season we need to keep the public updated on pomegranate news as many different papers articles and informative material will be written depicted and shown of pomegranates in the next weeks. Three different harvests take place in our nation and the mainland harvest which will be the soonest one will occur within the next two weeks until then we will keep you updated about this major time of the year. The heritage of our nation is heavily linked to agriculture because of that president visited the farmers market in Los Angeles on Saturday to explore the agricultural beauty of the region we are located in despite being almost a two hour drive from the Grove we enjoyed delicious food and other activities that celebrated agriculture. They grow our own crops and food. our nation is built on the back of agriculture, especially minted pomegranate, which is why we utilise this form of human innovation heavily.

As the Republic of United Land is a huge democracy many different political parties have been formed to ensure that every Voice of every person and our great establishment/republic is heard many new parties have risen up and challenged the likes of Joseph Calvillo who has built the nation up from scratch ever since it’s monarchist era. Well, today’s post is a huge update for Desert conservation across the micronational community you see the Republic of United Land has been a big contributor to desert conservation and I think we have made that very clear in our posts the last few months. But we have never gone to go far as to plant critically endangered species in our land until now you see the Joshua tree has always been a symbol of peace and love across our glorious nation as it is a beautiful plant and personally, neglecting all politics aside my favourite. However, there is one big problem when it comes to obtaining Joshua Tree seeds. They are quite literally critically endangered which means they are hard to obtain legally especially as we are surrounded by California which deems the western Joshua tree a protected species so we had to wait months to legally obtain our variety of Joshua tree and soon enough we got it after hours and hours of sleepless nights trying to save our immensely endangered species we obtained the seeds. Until we hit rock bottom again and a National Park Service worker misplaced the seeds which caused us to lose the seeds for over six months. But after all that struggle, we finally hit the Home stretch and grew the Joshua Tree seeds in water and so far they have been doing very well as our National Park Service has dedicated immense effort into growing these seedlings. We will come back with more updates as these things will be mature in 250 years 😭 .

The Republic of United Land has officially entered into its first physical trade deal, which is HUGE for so many reasons. First of all, our market is prominent only in our area, not globally, which means the United Lander market can export goods and other items internationally! We will be shipping our products very soon, and the deal has been finalized. We can't wait to do more deals across the globe as our expanding nation has so many natural resources we can't wait to export. Well, many citizens are demanding that Calvillo be impeached because of his “being insane” and being a “herendous leader.” Well, Calvillo did what any man of the people would do: hold an election by his own will. The faction is particularly caused by the growing monarchist movement, whose aim is to put a United Lander King on the throne for the first time since 24'. But Calvillo even said if he were sadly offered the crown, he would decline it.

Enormous agricultural news comes out of the Republic of United Land today as the first few pomegranates were picked from the northern regions. While some were picked today, it is technically not deemed the beginning of the harvest because only a few (not even accounting for 0.5% of the total yield). Nevertheless, this is still a huge milestone and pomegranates are our national fruit and it’s very important to keep the public updated about particular harvests all across are blessed sovereign nation we will continue to be posting our agricultural updates in spite of our enemies who are childish and I thank you for all the supporters who have made this journey possible,

But in this moment, not only a flag was raised, but a community was formed. One nation under one banner. One nation United. Let this serve to the enemies that we are a symbol of unification. And that we may rise.

Legal Framework Clause I

Section of the United Lander Legal Code

Preamble: We, the United Lander people, devise this document to ensure liberty, equal representation, and justice for all. The values in this document are made for the people to ensure the democratic process of our nation.

Section I: Suing, Public Defenders, SLA Exam, Rights

Clause I: In the case of a lawsuit, any United Lander Citizen is entitled to a public defender, which is free of charge and is obligated to take on any case that is given to them by the Senate, Justice Minister, or the President.

To become a public defender, you must pass a vitral exam highlighting the United Lander legal framework.

It is any citizen's right to ask for a public defender, and one must be available upon request. If not, the case is postponed until one can be present.

Clause II: All questions in the S.L.A (Solicitors Legal Examination) must be approved by the Senate or High Court Justices, or else it is not questions on the official exam.

It is worth noting that High Court Justices and regular judges are not the same thing. The High Court Council is comprised of judges from the High Court, while a regular judge does not hold any other government position.

Clause III: A judge and a jury have to agree to render a decision. The jury must be over half in favour of the verdict, and no members of the council can abstain. (Unless permitted by a judge, due to a conflict of bias).

Clause IV: As the Senate and a Judge need to agree to impeach a federal officer, one department can not impeach a government official by itself, as it requires the other body's approval. This does not apply to civil service.

Clause V: Due Process is required for every citizen unless:

• A person is actively destroying government property and posing an immediate risk to public safety while doing so.

However, if a military unit/officer abuses their power and exercises their right to invoke the 5^(th) Clause, Section I of the United Lander Legal Code, the officer can be faced with severe penalties including expulsion from the United Lander Government. On top of that, a judge can overrule his unjust ruling to ensure a democratic process.

Section II: Expectations of a Judge

Clause I: A judge must not render a ruling upon a conflict of bias; if a link is found, it can be overturned by the Senate. This also applies to the jury, which can face legal action as well as other punishments for rendering a decision upon bias.

Clause II: To become a Judge/Public Defender, one must:

• Pass the S.L.A (Solicitors Legal Examination)
• Be Approved by the Senate or Supreme Court Justices
• Prove to have no criminal record
• Understand that an unconstitutional ruling (such as rendering a decision based on bias) can lead to his/her S.L.P (Solicitors Legal Privileges) being taken away and expulsion from holding United Land Government.

If a person meets these requirements, they are allowed to withhold Solicitors' Legal Privileges.

Clause III: A judge must rule upon evidence; if there is no evidence to back up the claims of one person, it is considered invalid.

Any evidence obtained illegally, however, is also considered invalid and will lead to the punishment of both factions.

Clause IV: A judge can only make a punishment/descion for something the prosecutor is accusing/sueing the defendant for.

Clause V: A judge cannot authorize a new case with the same intentions and the same evidence. A court case can not be redone unless:

• A unconstitutional ruling is made (determined by the Justices)
• Weather does not allow the case to finish

Section III: Suing

Clause I: Anyone is entitled to sue anyone as it is deemed a constitutional right. When you do, you have the option to get a lawyer/public defender, and you may file complains/case requests to as many judges needed.

Clause II: To inform the government about your intent to sue, you must complete a government form listing your intentions, reason for suing, etc.

Section III: Appeals

Clause I: If a person is sentenced and punished, they can file appeal claims which have to be approved by the High Court Justices. This can be done by filling out a government-provided form.
