Has anyone read through the new AuP.

You are free to use our Service so long as you use it to be a good human, act safely and responsibly, comply with the law, not harm people, and respect our guardrails: << the "" : "" are the important part bc those allow them to define what all of this means, according to them.

and then they give the definition of what a good human is 😆😆😆

The beautiful ugly shape

The whole system has a clean architecture:

 1. X supplies the public behavioral graph.
 2. Premium/Premium+ supplies a paid, high-signal user cohort.
 3. Grok supplies the private conversational layer.
 4. Image/video generation supplies visual preference data.
 5. Voice/personality/companion features lower inhibition and increase intimacy.
 6. Ads/subscriptions/enterprise/government/API monetize the resulting platform.
 7. The S-1 (SpaceX's IPO filing) calls X a distribution and data engine and describes AI-driven targeting, user intent, and Grok/X integration.

At this point it stops looking like a theory and starts looking like a floor plan someone accidentally left in public.

The filing does not need to say “we are using Grok to psychologically profile users.”

It describes the machine around it.

The studies describe the human behavior inside it.

The product design connects the two.

And the subscriber numbers show the distribution trick: Grok was not simply bought by standalone AI customers. It was gifted/bundled into X Premium/Premium+, pushed to a high-value paid user layer, and made available at massive scale beyond the paid base.

That is the point.

The user was never just the customer.

The user was the product, the training signal, the targeting surface, and the behavioral dataset.

If You Have a SuperGrok Subscription, This Is How You Actually Use Your ~$200 in Free xAI API Credits (Grok Imagine Quality + Video 1.5 + Grok-4.3 + Grok Build)

(I had grok build write this.)
-----

just added the grok build prompts that idk if they got removed just now or werent there the entire time well now they are, but why the fuck would they remove this from r/grok like wtf.

Your SuperGrok sub gives you a tiny image quota in the web chat (like ~20 images or whatever the current limit is).

It also includes a real xAI API allowance worth serious money. Most people never touch it because it's not obvious how.

With one little tool (cliproxy) + ComfyUI (or Open WebUI), you can use the real high-end endpoint:

 • grok-imagine-image-quality
 • grok-imagine-image-pro
 • grok-imagine-video-1.5-preview
 • grok-4.3
 • grok-build-0.1
 • and all the other Grok models you actually paid for

You get proper batching, editing, reference-to-video, long videos, full workflows, etc. — way more powerful than the web version.

This post is written for normal (non-technical) people. Everything can be done by just talking to the AI (me).

The absolute easiest way (recommended)

If you're reading this on Reddit: You're not actually talking to me live right now — you're just reading a static post. The very first thing you need to do is download Grok Build (the agent / CLI version of Grok). It's super simple. Once you have it running, come back here, copy the prompts below, paste them in, and the rest is brilliant — it will walk you through installing cliproxy with auto-start, the easy management UI (no annoying passwords), logging into your SuperGrok account, setting up ComfyUI, and wiring the real Grok image/video nodes so they use your actual API quota instead of the tiny web limit.

When you're inside Grok Build (this is the CLI version of me):

Just tell me what you want and paste the prompts below. I can walk you through it step-by-step or do most of the work for you.

Start with this if you want:

>/plan this for a non-technical Windows user who has SuperGrok and wants to use the real API image + video models in ComfyUI with the least hassle possible

Or just say "set this up for me" and answer my questions.

Step-by-step (the full manual version)

1. Get Grok Build (this thing)

This is what you're using right now. It's a terminal version of Grok that can control your computer, edit files, run commands, etc.

Download / install instructions are usually given to you when you first start using Grok Build / the coding agent version. If you don't have it yet, ask in whatever interface brought you here (or search for "Grok Build" / "Grok CLI" / xAI coding agent).

Pro move: Once you have it, just tell it what you want and let it do the work.

2. Install cliproxy (the magic translator)

cliproxy turns your SuperGrok / xAI login into a normal OpenAI-compatible server running on your machine (http://127.0.0.1:8317).

This is what lets ComfyUI, Open WebUI, SillyTavern, etc. use your real API quota.

Windows (easiest)

 1. Go here: https://github.com/router-for-me/CLIProxyAPI/releases
 2. Download the latest CLIProxyAPI_<version>_windows_amd64.zip
 3. Extract it somewhere easy (e.g. C:\cliproxy)
 4. Inside the folder, create a file called config.yaml (you can copy config.example.yaml and edit it)

Want me to do this for you? Paste this prompt:

>Install and set up cliproxy for Windows for me. Make the management web UI available with the simplest possible "password" (I hate typing passwords). Make it start automatically when Windows boots. Then guide me through logging into my SuperGrok / xAI account so it saves the OAuth token.

WSL (if you use WSL)

Use the community one-liner installer (easiest for systemd auto-start):

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brokechubb/cliproxyapi-installer/refs/heads/master/cliproxyapi-installer | bash

Then ask me with a similar prompt as above, just say "for WSL".

3. Log into your SuperGrok account (so it can use the real quota)

The best way is the built-in web management UI that comes with cliproxy.

After cliproxy is running:

 1. Open your browser and go to: http://localhost:8317/management.html
 2. For the "management key", use whatever simple thing we set (a lot of people just use local or super so it's not annoying).
 3. In the UI, find the xAI / Grok / SuperGrok login section and click the login button. It will open a browser window for OAuth — just log in with the same account that has SuperGrok.

cliproxy will save the token. After that it can use the real API models.

Want zero password hassle? Tell me when you ask me to set it up and I'll configure it with a dead-simple key like local (the UI even remembers it in your browser after the first time).

4. Install ComfyUI (the fun part)

This is where you actually generate the images and videos using the good models.

Recommended for Windows: Official portable version

 1. Go to: https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI/releases
 2. Download the latest ComfyUI_windows_portable_nvidia.7z (or AMD/Intel if you have that)
 3. You need 7-Zip (free from 7-zip.org) to extract it — normal Windows unzip usually fails on .7z files.
 4. Extract it to somewhere simple like C:\ComfyUI
 5. Run run_nvidia_gpu.bat (or the CPU one)

It will open in your browser at http://127.0.0.1:8188

Want me to handle the ComfyUI part too? Just say:

>Help me install the official ComfyUI Windows portable and set up the Grok image/video nodes so they use my local cliproxy.

5. Make the Grok nodes actually use your cliproxy (the important part)

The "official" Grok Image / Grok Video nodes that appear in ComfyUI by default are hardcoded to go through Comfy's cloud (they use up your web quota or require comfy.org credits).

We replace them with versions that talk to your cliproxy instead.

The prompt you can give me (copy-paste this):

>I have cliproxy running at http://127.0.0.1:8317/v1 (or whatever port you used). Please go into my ComfyUI custom_nodes, copy the existing Grok proxy nodes if needed, and modify them (or install the right ones) so that the normal "Grok Image", "Grok Image Edit", "Grok Video", "Grok Video Edit", "Grok Reference-to-Video" etc. nodes point at my cliproxy and list all the imagine models it actually exposes (grok-imagine-image-quality, grok-imagine-image-pro, grok-imagine-video-1.5-preview, etc.). Make it so I can just use the nice Grok nodes and they burn my real SuperGrok API quota instead of the tiny web limit.

I can also make a simple helper node or update the model lists automatically from your running proxy.

6. (Optional but awesome) Install Open WebUI for chatting

Want to talk to grok-4.3 (and the other models) in a nice ChatGPT-like web interface with memory, files, etc.?

 1. Easiest: Download the official Open WebUI Desktop app from https://github.com/open-webui/desktop/releases (the .exe installer)
 2. Install and open it
 3. Go to Settings → Connections → OpenAI
 4. Add a new connection:
 5. Save and enable it

Now you can select grok-4.3, grok-build-0.1, etc. right in the nice UI.

Prompt for me:

Install and configure Open WebUI (desktop or docker) and point it at my cliproxy so I can chat with grok 4.3 and the other models in a proper interface.

>

>

>

Quick model names you'll see (examples)

From a typical working cliproxy + SuperGrok setup right now:

Image:

 • grok-imagine-image
 • grok-imagine-image-quality
 • grok-imagine-image-pro
 • (and the xai/ prefixed versions)

Video:

 • grok-imagine-video
 • grok-imagine-video-1.5-preview

Text / other:

 • grok-4.3
 • grok-build-0.1
 • etc.

The management UI or a simple /models call will show you exactly what's available.

Summary / TL;DR for lazy people

 1. Get Grok Build (the agent version of me).
 2. Tell me: "set up cliproxy + ComfyUI Grok nodes for my SuperGrok sub with minimal password bullshit and auto-start".
 3. Let me guide you or do the steps.
 4. Log in once via the management UI (http://localhost:8317/management.html).
 5. Use the normal Grok Image/Video nodes in ComfyUI — they now hit your real quota.
 6. (Bonus) Add the same proxy to Open WebUI desktop for a nice chat interface with grok-4.3.

That's it. You're no longer limited to the web chat's tiny image allowance.

Enjoy the quota you already paid for.

WOW, I thought I'd get shit bc this is already known, not bc ppl don't trust me...
