Pre-Approval Baiting???

Hey All...

Finally going with CarMax for my next car.
Have read mostly great things.

My pre-approval rate was at 4.94% with a $5500 down payment over 60 months.
I thought, great!

Pay for the shipping of the car, start the paperwork, get to the finance options. 6.94% for the same rate and down payment.

My credit score is 820.

What is with this? I feel cheated.

Restricted in the US

What is going on with this? Hovering over the restricted tags pops up a note that says "This model is not available in the U.S."

I emailed support back on Thursday the 18th but haven't heard back.

Needless to say I am in the US and am not using a VPN.

End of Lease - Residual Value Discrepancy

Torn here as I am reading everyone else's end of lease updates.
Would appreciate some guidance and advice.

2023 4XE Willy.
I want to keep it but seems Jeep is doing everything to prevent that, new recall not withstanding.
My Lease Agreement has my residual at 33k and change.
I emailed Chrysler Capital (seems 99% of you say they don't negotiate but would like to hear the 1% who got them to) and they sent me another letter back saying it would be 36k. How is this possible/legal? Has anyone had them increase the buyout? My signed paper with the dealership is 33k.

I know there are a bunch of used Jeeps on the market I could snag for 5-10k less but I love all the bells and whistles on mine and haven't seen the color nor the options mine has so I would really like to keep it. Has anyone had success turning it in and buying it used afterwards?

Finally, when my registration came in I paid it right away. $650 in California. Didn't even realize I might be turning it back in. Being in California I am also thinking of doing arbitration again. I did with the latest recall back in the winter last year but with a new one coming out next week I might take a crack at it again.

I love the 4XE. The torque, HP, sportiness of it all with that PHEV bonus (most of my driving is local and my apartment doesn't charge me to plug in) so it would be hard to give up. Tested out the Land Cruiser which is the only thing I have my eye or currently but it's just not as fun.

Come on Reddit.. flame me.. am I going to regret overpaying to keep it? Do I have any luck with Chrysler Capital? Talk sense into me please.
