Hey everyone,

Just looking for some advice because I’ve been reading through the JCU website and I’m still a bit confused about the pathway and requirements.

I’m nearly 30 and trying to change direction career-wise. I have a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from an overseas university and I completed my Master of Food Science and Technology in 2020 (Perth). Right now I’m also studying an Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science.

I’m interested in getting into Dentistry at JCU for an upcoming intake and I’m trying to understand where I stand.

A few questions:

• Does JCU Dentistry require GAMSAT or can you apply without it?
• What are my chances considering my education background and age?
• Has anyone here gone into Dentistry later in life with a similar pathway?

Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences because I’m feeling a bit lost with all the information online 😅
