The open G is ringing out a bit extra, giving off a bit of a sitar effect. I changed the string thinking it may have been a damaged string but still no luck.
Could it be the nut? How’s the best way to fix?

JJ Burnel is my biggest inspiration in bass, and always known him to use roundwounds… judging by the red silk strings on the bridge however he seems to be using flatwounds? Im intrigued as I’ve recently bought some flatwounds for bass #2 and would like to take some inspiration from my favourite bassist if he’s certainly using them here! 😁
