I may get NIET CSE (Collaboration/International Twinning Program) with a Fee Waiver (FW) through UPTAC, and I'm trying to decide whether I should choose it.

I have a few questions:

1. Is the Collaboration/International Twinning Program worth choosing over regular CSE?

2. Does it have the same placements as regular CSE, or do companies treat it differently?

3. Is the twinning/international semester optional or compulsory?

4. If I get a Fee Waiver (FW) seat, do I still have to pay the additional Twinning Program fee, or is it also waived? I've seen the college fee structure includes a separate twinning program charge, so I'm confused.

5. If I don't go abroad, will I still have to pay any twinning-related fees?

I'm mainly interested in becoming a software engineer, and my family's budget is limited, so the fee waiver is an important factor.

I'd really appreciate replies from current NIET students or alumni who have firsthand experience with this program.

I am considering taking admission to GL Bajaj Mathura. Based on previous cutoffs, my rank should be enough for a TFW seat in CSE (AI & ML).

However, I belong to the General category and do not have an EWS certificate.

Can General category students get a TFW seat without EWS, or is EWS mandatory for TFW eligibility?

If anyone has taken admission through TFW at GL Bajaj Mathura or through UPTAC, please share your experience.

NIET students or people living near Knowledge Park 3, can you tell me the current PG/hostel costs?

I'm looking for:

Boys PG

Double/triple/quad sharing

Food included

Walking distance or easy transport to NIET

What's the average monthly cost in 2026, and which PGs would you recommend or avoid?

My budget is around ₹5k–₹6k/month.
