This seems ok - day 2

This seems ok - day 2

Hi,

Signed up for UberEats to have an option either on days when Flex isn't available or in the way back from high mileage Flex Jobs.

So, yesterday I did an hour or so and got a few jobs in a market town in Oxfordshire - spotted a £3 tip on a Waitrose delivery.

Today, I had a 5 hour gap between Flex jobs so thought I'd stay in town and see what was available rather than going home to bed!! Didn't work for the whole 5 hours but picked up over 10 jobs and another £4 tip.

I mainly turned down the high mileage ones because of the return journey (I'm using a car) and just stayed around town but, even with the 3.50 - 4.50 jobs, it seemed ok. Only did about 44 miles all told.

So, is this normal or are there less drivers around at the moment because of the heat? Also, am I being offered more jobs than normal because I'm new?

Hours Worked Question

Just finished a block and instead of the usual "How easy was the block" question, I got asked "How many hours would you like to work in a typical week?" (Options included 31 - 40 and 40 +)

Followed by "how often could you do that number of hours?"

Reckon they're thinking of allowing more than 24 hours in a week?

This Looks Ominous!

Just finished a block from Banbury (DoX2). 4 hour block, done in 2.5 in Oxford. When I finished, I got this message: sorry your parcels arent quite ready yet. Checked my itinerary and 2 more items have been added and it looks like I have to go Back to Banbury, collect 2 more parcels, then drive back to Oxford 🤣.

This is the second time this has happened in a week or so. Called driver support and they told me to ignore it and the list will be refreshed at the end of my block time - it's a glitch, she said!

However, I wonder if they're thinking of implementing this type of return to base for more deliveries if you finish early 🫪🫪
