dating a bisexual nearly ruined my summer

ended up spending most of my summer home in NYC fretting over a bisexual girl that was so stupidly stereotypical. She broke up from a very passionate relationship with a dude from her college who objectively treated her like shit like two months before I met her but she talked about him incessantly. i got set up with her through a mutual friend (who's taste in people I normally really trust) and we went out for basically all of June and July, it was the closest I've gotten to love even though she treated me pretty poorly.

Like I said she would constantly talk about her ex boyfriend (like even detailed how good their sex was like wtf gross), i, in hindsight, paid for way too much of her shit, she so clearly liked my male friends more than me (there was a time I was begging her to come to a party with me and she wouldn't, but when our male mutual friend messaged her she showed up like straight away), and the one time we had sex it was so awful and selfish that it's become a joke between me and my friends.

She finally broke it off with me in late July and I was so crushed, but then it was like "holy fucking shit I dodged a bullet". I realized that she was so male centered and for her I was basically the sweet lesbian that she dated for a little while after the boyfriend she actually cared about. She really wants to be friends and I'm almost inclined to accept it bc she needs female friends.

Is dating bisexual women always this bad?

Anyway I took the breakup pretty hard and randomly decided to follow a hot Slavic futch I went on a date with a year ago and I can't believe it, we are actually going on a date tomorrow!!!!! maybe things will work out if I quit artsy metrosexuals.

how to possibly let someone down softly?

for once i don't have to post about how bitterly alone I am.

Matched with this girl on hinge like a month ago from the west coast and she is gonna be back in nyc in mid August. She's sweet and gasses me up all the time, but also is hella inexperienced and kinda nerdy in a way where I just feel like we don't totally fit romantically. It's only online but like I can tell that she wants me to say I love her. I feel awful for stringing her along but part of me also thinks we could go on at least a few dates and I don't get that much play anyway. She also knows a few people I know in the city so I don't want her airing my shit out if it doesn't go well.

While I was dealing with this, my friend also set me up with this friend of his and she's like completely my type, super artsy, a little awkward but not apologetic, and really fun. We went on a date and it was wonderful!!! i have a second date planned with her this weekend, but I also need to find a way to let girl 1 down smoothly. I know this is hella mundane.

Any tips?
