I need everyone’s opinion

I got my driving license August of 2025 but I didn’t drive much since because the only family car that we have doesn’t have estimara because of the multiple fines that we have and I heard its not safe to drive a car without estimara so I just stopped driving at all .

These past months though I realized that I might forget driving and stuff so I started thinking of solutions for that and I came up with two options.

  1. Get a new car (second hand probably around 80k riyals) as my first and last car that I will use forever. The issue with this option it that I kinda forgot how to drive so im most probably going to get into a few accidents and scratches here and there before even paying the whole thing for the car. On the other hand it is a newer one so it has multiple safety features that can make my (not the best) driving a bit safer and reduce the accidents I might get into.

  2. Use our old car. The issue with this option is that it has multiple fines (around 6k) therefore we can’t renew the estimara without paying them. The second issue is that its a 2007 car. We haven’t got it checked in a while but I know deep down in my heart that it has other issues that we not let it pass the test for the estimara.
The good side about this car is that is already had multiple damages and scratches and everything so another one of those won’t really be a problem and I won’t be worried THAT much if one of the above happened.

So what option should I go with, or which one will you choose if you were on my shoes.

Im also open to any other recommendations if you have.

Things that make the car fail in the checking they do before renewing the car estimara?

Hello guys, as the title says, we are planning to renew our car estimara by ourselves for the first time (previous years it was done by my cousins or family friends since my dad passed away so now that im old enough we’re doing it by ourselves) so I just want to know what are the things that could prevent us from getting it? Are old cars (2007 for example) are at risk for not getting it just because they are old or it doesn’t matter as long as the car is working?

Please tell me anything even if it sounds minor I really want to know everything about it before going to get it done.

Mazda owners, mainly based in Qatar, what kind do you have, and what is your opinion about the car, how is the gas prices, and is it easy to find spare parts and fixing it if its damaged or anything like that?

If you have any extra things you want to tell me about their cars let me know.
