When will Proton Pass finally support CXP (Credential Exchange Protocol) for Passkey import/export?

Hi everyone and Proton team,

I’ve been looking into making the full switch to Proton Pass, but there is still one major roadblock preventing me (and likely many others) from moving completely: the lack of seamless Passkey import and export.

While migrating standard passwords via JSON works fine, not being able to transfer existing passkeys means having to manually reset and re-register dozens of passkeys across various accounts.

With FIDO’s CXP (Credential Exchange Protocol) establishing itself as the standard for secure credential exchange between password managers, this should be a top priority.

Are there any concrete updates on when CXP will be added to the roadmap? For anyone currently holding back on migrating, native passkey transfer is the missing puzzle piece.

Would love to hear an update from the team!

Thinking about switching from the S26 Ultra back to iPhone even though nothing is really wrong with it

I’m currently using a Galaxy S26 Ultra and overall I’m fine with it. I actually like One UI a lot, and technically the phone is obviously great.

Still, I keep thinking about switching back to iPhone.

I used iPhones before and always found iOS a bit boring, but also extremely simple. Apple Mail just worked, photos went to iCloud, apps felt very consistent, and I rarely had to think about which account or service was handling what.

That’s probably the part that annoys me most on Samsung. Samsung account, Google account, Samsung Gallery, Google Photos, different services doing similar things… it all works, but it feels more complicated.

I also had a really good experience with Apple Support before. I once went to an Apple Store with an issue and the whole process was very straightforward.

On the other hand, I’d basically use both phones for the exact same things anyway: social media, email, banking, photos, browsing, etc. And after a few weeks, the iPhone would probably just feel like “my phone” again too.

So I’m curious about people who switched from an S24/S25/S26 Ultra back to an iPhone Pro or Pro Max:

Was it actually worth it long term?

Did you end up missing Samsung/One UI?

And does iOS really feel more relaxed and hassle-free in daily use, or is that something you start romanticizing after a while?

Anyone else experiencing issues with Filen Desktop v3.0.50 (SMB sync & client freezes)?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues after updating to Filen Desktop v3.0.50.

Before the update everything worked flawlessly for months.

My setup:

  • Windows 11
  • Synology NAS
  • SMB network shares used as local sync folders

Since updating to v3.0.50, I've been experiencing several issues:

  • The desktop client freezes quite often.
  • The UI becomes sluggish and sometimes unresponsive.
  • Two of my synchronizations (Documents and Photos) now generate thousands of errors with the following message:

Path traversal blocked: a synced path resolves outside the sync root.

Interestingly:

  • All sync folders are located on the same Synology NAS.
  • All use SMB shares.
  • The configuration hasn't changed.
  • A third synchronization still works perfectly.

The exact same setup worked without any issues before updating.

Has anyone else seen this or found a workaround?

I've already reported the issue to the Filen support team.

Thanks!
